Surprise
Strange things happen at the worst times...
I had a morning exam. Slept at about 2am woke at 6:30 to visit the loo.Behind my door, are hung a shirt and a coat.
Closing the door behind me as I returned, I noticed some noise coming from the shirts. I thought it was just the shirts moving as I closed the door, as I walked to my bed, the noise continued...
I put my hand on the shirt to see what it was. I didn't have my classes with me so I couldn't see clearly. Then I lifted the shirt to see what was making the noise. I saw some blurry black lump moving quickly inside the shirt.
I went to get my glasses and lifted the shirt again. I think it was a little black rat hanging on to my shirt.
I stood there deciding whether or not I should catch it or go to sleep. My exam was in about two hour’s time. I went to bed but I couldn't sleep. I could hear the scratching noise. Not sure if it was in my head or if it came from the little furry friend. I got annoyed so I got up to see what it was doing. It was no longer where I had left it... it was somewhere in my room...
I went back to bed... I could hear noises coming from somewhere. It was raining. Maybe it was from outside. Then I heard it crawl quickly across the plastic mat I have on my floor. Silly thing playing games with my head! I have an exam coming...
soon after, it was time to wash my face and back my bags and leave.
Hair
My hair is falling out!
I noticed this when I was studying these past few days... bits of hair lying on my sheets of paper.
I'm not sure if this is due to the recent stress of studying. I never really sit at my desk if i don't study so i wouldn't know if studying is the cause.
Maybe i'm just getting old :P hehe
Attack by the dead
On Sunday morning, I walked to my garage to get my car. As usual, My head caught a mat of spider web.
As I proceeded to wipe it off from my hair. Something else caught my hand. something sharp and painful.
When I looked at my hand, there was half a bee stuck in the middle of my palm. I quickly flicked it off. But the dead bee's sting remained in my hand.
My hand is now slightly swollen... a little painful.
foolish ribs
Two weeks ago on Monday night, I did something really foolish.
Now I think I have some damaged ribs. It hurts when I blow my nose. Or when laugh heartilylyly. or when when i lie down to sleep.
ETears
What are the functions of tears?
When we are tried and yawn, tears come out to wet your eyes. It's useful for me. when i have dry eyes i make myself yawn. and force tears to come out.
But want is the natural purpose of tears? we all know that tears come out went we cry. we cry because we are in pain. or when we are really emotional. either happy or sad. but what function does it perform?
some animals use tears to mark territory.
girls use tears to get their way? boys cry cos they are wimps? hahaha, just kidding.
"we cry when we are extremely emotional" (jot) - Evolution must have a use for that. otherwise it would be there right? something to do with evolving so that we cry when we don't get what we want. or we cry when we fall over and cut our knees.
somehow, those who cried had a survival advantage over those that didn't. or maybe it was an anomaly (something that can't be explained by the theory).
Is it possible that there is a better theory?
Maybe tears make us live longer. As some researcher will tell you. ( research and back anything up). Maybe tears make us more attractive to the opposite sex.
Evolution is such an amazing theory. It explains the evolution of life forms. As long as you are imaginative enough there is a path for every evolution.
Scam AGAIN
Today I got an email from a good friend of mine telling me about a phone scam.
The scams involve a missed call on your mobile. When you call back, there is a recorded message, and you get charged about $50.
I got two of these missed calls about a month ago from this number (03 8102 9565), but I didn't bother returning the call. hehehehe
If you want a list of the numbers (there are about 30), send me an email, or post a comment
Scams
I came across a website today http://www.thinkall.com/
It said that it will give you a free cd.
As i clicked along filling in my details, it offered even more free stuff. In total it was offering up to $US300 worth of things all for the a postage and handling fee of $2.96.
I was half filling in my credit card details when my mum started annoying me about how dangerous the internet is.
Then i thought about it... why give me $300 worth of stuff but charge me $3? then i remembered that some of the software can actually be downloaded for free else where.
So I stopped there and searched "thinkall" on google.
