Climax

The trains in the morning are crowded.

About 2 minutes before the train comes to a station, people would get ready to get off. Some gets up and make their way towards the door. When the train is crowded, as it is in the morning, there is little room to move around and to allow for these lining up to leave. It gets extra tight when the train is approaching a stop

It is the worst when the train is seconds from stopping. There is rapid deceleration (depending on the driver) and often a jolt before a full stop. But it is also at this time that people are pushing towards the exit. And it is also at this time that passengers are in their most unstable position, twisting their bodies to make room for those impatient to rush out.

The doors close and soon it all starts again.

This is CityRail's definition of reliable and safe by offering slow and less services.
