Top accounting firms have a reputation. They give advise to large firms and they employ only the top people in the field.We had to go to KPMG for a meeting with a guy there.
He was rude and arrogant but not too bright... he had a mouth. it churned out heaps of stuff.
I think when firms hire people, they hire people who are good at talking (whether or not the person knows what they are talking is overlooked?).
The guy was young. He showed us no respect. I got the impression that he thinks that we were a few classes below him.

So after all those "comprehensive" computer tests and endless rounds of interviews, they select arrogant people that they find to be the "elite" of the elite?
Well, maybe it is rewarding to find out that if you end up not working at these big firms, it indicates that you are not arrogant afterall.
